York County
Regional Training Center
Alfred, Maine
Construction is currently underway. We anticipate delivering first responder training and educational programs beginning in March of 2026.
A regional training center in York County has been discussed in concept and need for over a generation. The formal planning for this facility began in the summer of 2021. Funding for this project came from the American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021. Planning quickly commenced and a formal groundbreaking ceremony was held on November 21, 2024. The County anticipates taking custody of the facility from the builder Landry-French Construction in December of 2025.
The York County Regional Training Center is owned by the County of York and operates as a department of county government in close collaboration with the York County Community College.
