Introduction to Rope and Low Angle Rescue.
Dates: May 16 & 17, 2026. 0800-1630.

Instructor: York County RTC.
Course Info: This class is designed for firefighters, EMS, rescue teams, and outdoor professionals. This course provides foundational skills in rope rescue systems with a focus on low angle environments.
Fee: York County $150. Out of County $250.

JUNE
Live Fire Instructor (NFPA 1403)
Dates: June 8 & 9. 0800-1630. (2-days)
Registration Deadline: May 27, 2026
Instructor: Regional Alliance for Firefighter Training.
Prerequisites: Fire Instructor II.
Fee: York County $750. Out of County $850.
Minimum/Maximum: 15.

Man vs. Machine
Dates: June 10, 2027. 0800-1630.
Registration Deadline: June 5, 2026
Instructor: P.L. Vulcan Fire Training Concepts.
Course Info: Methods that can be used to disentangle victims from a variety of situations. Basic techniques for removing a variety of rings are addressed. Evolutions progress in complexity to include extremities stuck in multiple machines, impalements, persons trapped under vehicles, torch operations, as well as other “tips & tricks” learned from real-world experiences. The Classroom and Practical Skills portions focus on finding the least complicated methods of performing rescues rather than "overthinking" the situation.
PPE: Students are required to provide their own PPE (Firefighter Turnouts).
Fee: York County $250. Out of County $350. Lunch is Provided.
