As your County Manager, it is my job to oversee the day to day operations of all County Departments and services for the Citizens of York County and to represent the county to other governmental agencies or groups. In our form of government, the five members of the Board of Commissioners are elected by the voters and serve as the chief policy making board of the County of York. The members of the Board of Commissioners appoint a County Manager, based solely upon his/her professional qualifications.

As your County Manager I serve at the pleasure of the Commissioners, and am directed to carry out policy decisions of the Commissioners, keeping the Commissioners and the public informed of the County's present and future needs. I am also charged with providing updates on current operations and conditions and provide guidance and suggestions to the Commissioners. As your County Manager I take part in all discussions of the Commissioners, but act in a non-voting, advisory capacity. I am very pleased to be a part of this excellent organization, that is represented by an excellent staff and I promise you that I will work diligently along with the Commissioners and our county staff to continue to improve York County as a great place to live, raise a family, work, relax and enjoy.
