REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) # YC-2025-2462250
York County Jail is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for providing comprehensive food preparation and management services for the York County Jail, located at One Layman Way, Alfred, Maine, 04002. Services include, but are not limited to, the management, procurement, preparation and delivery of all food to inmates, staff members, and the periodic provision of specialty and holiday meals. Firms responding to this RFP must have a proven and verifiable record of providing correctional food services with a comparable size of agency and scope of operations.
The Average Daily Population (ADP) of the jail in calendar year 2024 was 200. The ADP of the jail may increase to 298. Staff meal counts may be as high as 18 breakfasts, 35 lunch, and 30 dinners.

Jail Commissary and Related Services
The County of York, Maine, seeks proposals from interested qualified vendors to provide commissary services and vending service for the inmates of York County Jail in exchange for a percentage share basis with the successful vendor. These services include hardware and software required to run an effective system as well as physical delivery and distribution of the items ordered. The purchase of incentive and hygiene packages may also be included in this procurement.

York County Government is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to design, deliver, and install an ambulance patient compartment classroom simulator. This simulator will be used for training Emergency Medical Technicians in a classroom setting. Allowing students to gain hands-on experience in a controlled environment that replicates the interior of an ambulance.

Law Enforcement Close Quarters Training Equipment
The County of York, Maine, seeks proposals from interested qualified bidders to provide; for our in-construction training facility; specialized mobile/portable training equipment designed for use in close quarters training to enhance the realism and effectiveness of training for police officers and special operations teams. The equipment must support training with non-live fire simulation methods, including simulated ammunition (AKA: Simunition®) and other force-on-force training tools, to prepare personnel for high-risk operational environments.
