Emergency Medical Technician (Basic)

Dates: February 10 - June 5, 2026

Class Meeting Times: Tuesday Evening Lecture: 5pm - 9pm and Monday Lab 8am - 4pm

OR Wednesday & Thursday Evening lab 5pm - 8pm

Instructors: York County Community College.

Eligibility Requirements: Maine Resident, High school diploma or equivalent, at least 18+ before the start of the training.

Fee: Free. Funding for this EMT program is generously funded by Harold Alfond Grant and the Maine Jobs and Recovery Plan.

Eligibility Requirements: Maine Resident, High school diploma or equivalent, at least 18+ before the start of the training. Applicants must provide proof of advanced practice practitioner, nurse, paramedic, respiratory therapist license upon application.

Basics of Community Risk Reduction

Dates: April 28 & 29. 0800-1700.

Registration deadline: April 2, 2026.

Instructor: National Fire Academy via Maine Fire Service Institute.

Course Info: Explore risk-reduction programs and learn principles and best practices that can lead to community risk reduction programs measuring success in local communities.

Fee: Free.
