Advanced School Resource Officer Course.

Dates: July 27-29, 2026. 0800-1700.

Instructor: National Association of School Resource Officers.

Course Info: The Advanced School Resource Officer Course is a twenty-four (24) hour block of instruction designed for any law enforcement officer working in an educational environment. This course, following the SRO Triad model, advances the SRO’s knowledge and skills as a law enforcement officer, informal counselor, and educator.

Fee: $400

“Honoring the Badge” Police Ethics Course

Date: September 9, 2026. 0800-1630.

Registration deadline: August 26, 2026.

Course Info: Modern policing takes place in an ethical minefield – from the street to the courthouse, from management to recruiting, from training to on and off-duty conduct. The mission of the Josephson Exemplary Policing Initiative at Drake University is to help agencies shape, enhance, and fortify their ethical culture and prevent misconduct from eroding confidence in the public sector. The highly acclaimed Honoring the Badge police 

ethics Agency and Command Staff programs take a deep dive into applied ethics and deal with the hidden, and often ignored, ethical challenges within law enforcement. The course was created by world-renowned ethicist Michael Josephson and Detective Captain James Dugan. Jim, whose highly decorated NJ police career was derailed by one bad judgment, provides a unique, sobering, and inspiring perspective.

Drug Enforcement for Modern Officers "DEMO"

Date: September 28 to October 1, 2026.   0800-1600.

Instructor: Pinnacle TCI, LLC

Course Info: Officers and detectives receive focused instruction on equipment selection, information management, drug and paraphernalia identification, investigative techniques, surveillance methods, informant handling, and warrant considerations. DEMO also incorporates multiple scenario-based exercises—including patrol interdiction stops, vehicle searches, rolling surveillance, informant interviews, and controlled buys—allowing officers to apply skills in realistic conditions with an emphasis on safety and policy compliance. DEMO is designed for officers and detectives who want a straightforward, structured process for conducting drug investigations and the confidence to put those skills to work immediately within their agencies.

Fee: York County agencies: $350. Out of County: $450.

Crisis Intervention Team Training.

Dates: Fall 2026. (40-hours).

Instructor: National Institute of Corrections   https://nicic.gov/

Course Info: The Crisis Intervention Teams - Jails & Prisons program is a 40-hour instructor-led, in-person training where participants are taught how to identify and reduce crises, improve safety, and promote better outcomes for individuals with serious mental illness or trauma histories.
