 First County Food Pantry volunteers distributed Thanksgiving food baskets –  including turkey, vegetables, stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy and more  – to 715 families, representing about 2,145 people, over the three days leading up to what is considered by many as America’s most treasured holiday.

There has been an increase in the number of people stopping at First County Food Pantry for food on Tuesdays and Fridays, when the pantry at the corner of Route 4 and Swett’s Bridge Road in Alfred is open from noon to 3 p.m.
