Biography
Major Lori Marks has been employed by the York County Sheriff's Office since November of 2007. In December 2014, Major Marks joined the Classifications Department at the jail which allowed her to advance her skills in administrative tasks and resident programs while continuing to excel as a Corrections Officer.
In 2019, Major Marks was chosen as the York County Corrections Officer of the Year. In 2021, Major Marks was awarded the prestigious National American Jail Association's Officer of the Year.
Major Marks was promoted to Programs Lieutenant in May of 2022, which allowed her to become part of the Command Team at our facility. In March of 2024, Major Marks received a scholarship to attend the National Jail Leadership Academy which has assisted her in growing her mentor and leadership skills at the York County Jail.
During Major Marks career, she has attended numerous leadership training classes and is always seeking out new opportunities to not only better herself, but also the people around her. Major Marks is proud to be a positive influence on her fellow employees, her family, and the community.
